What to Expect

Scheduling

We will make every effort to schedule your project at a time that is convenient to all parties involved. We will inform you of your start date as well as the date your materials will be delivered. On average, 3-4 days will be required for shingle applications and longer for a specialty product or large home.

Weather Conditions

We are fully prepared if the weather turns bad during your project. Crews will seal your roof to prevent water from entering your home and we will resume work as soon as the weather allows. If the day we schedule your roofing project has a 30% chance of rain or greater we will call prior to starting to discuss re-scheduling options. Every day we experience rain prior to your application will likely delay us one day to start your application. We will communicate through out this process.

Delivery

Materials will be delivered on a large truck by a local supply warehouse. We need to place the material as close to the house as possible on the driveway to one side or the other. Once you have communicated which side is best, please ensure that your automobile is out of the garage. The material supplier will commit to a morning or afternoon delivery.

Communication

Someone is on duty 24-hours a day to take your calls at (281) 332-7663.

Service Lines

Service lines such electrical wires, water lines, and A/C lines should not be installed within 3 inches of your roof deck. If you are aware of any such lines, we should be notified immediately. We can not be responsible for the puncture of improperly installed lines as we cannot see these from above the roof deck.

Light Fixtures, Mirrors, and Pictures

These items can fall if not firmly attached to the wall or ceiling. Make sure any item you have hanging is firmly attached or removed for the duration of the project as roofing activities will vibrate the structural members. If you have vaulted ceilings, old plaster, or “popcorn” texture, you will likely experience small cracks, dislodged texture and crows feet. This cannot be avoided and the company can not be held liable for such.

Tear Off

When it is necessary to remove your existing roof, debris will fall through lath or decking into the attic. We will cover any items that require protection that you ask. Please be-careful when lowering your attic access panel the first time after re-roofing as granules or other debris could fall. There will be a thorough clean up of the exterior of your premises, however, we can only pick up about 98% of the nails in the area. If you notice any nails after we are complete, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to come back out and magnetically sweep your yard again.

Trees

Our crews may have to cut low hanging branches. You may prefer to have a tree trimming crew out before we begin.

Left Over Material

Our proposals are based on a complete job. We intentionally send extra materials on some projects to prevent our crews from having to leave the job site to get materials they are short on. Any material left at the job site is the property of Brinkmann Quality Roofing Services and will not be credited. We practice this to speed up your application.

Property Inspection

The roofing salesperson or superintendent will inspect the work and complete a final inspection report after the job has been completed. Please let them know at this time if you have any questions or concerns regarding the project.

Payment

Payment may be given to the salesperson or superintendent upon completion of the project. Please make check payable to Brinkmann Quality Roofing Services. The entire payment is due upon on the final day of construction unless different payment options are in place prior to the installation.
